Isuzu Rodeo Engine And Engine Cooling Safety Report | Dec 28, 2005

Reported on Dec 28, 2005

IT HAD BEEN LESS THAN 5000 MILES SINCE THE LAST OIL CHANGE. THE TRUCK STARTED MAKING A REALLY LOUD CLICKING NOISE, THEN STALLED MINUTES LATER. A ROD WAS THROWN THROUGH THE BLOCK, AND 2 PISTONS WERE DESTROYED. IT COST ABOUT $6000, WHICH THE WARRANTY COMPANY ONLY PAID HALF. THEY REPLACED IT WITH A USED ENGINE, AND I AM ALREADY HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OIL CONSUMPTION. *JB
