DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE BATTERY LOOKED SWOLLEN. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE ABS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE DIGITAL DISPLAYS BEGAN FLASHING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, AND THE ENGINE POWER SLOWED TO 30 MPH AND BELOW. AFTER REACHING THE DRIVEWAY, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. AFTER TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE DEALER, AN INSPECTION IDENTIFIED THE EQUIPMENT FAILURE TO BE THE ALTERNATOR AND THE WIRING HARNESS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. | |
