Honda Pilot Vehicle Speed Control Safety Report | Nov 16, 2012
Reported on Nov 16, 2012
STARTED CAR AND STARTED TO DRIVE THE CAR AND IT HAD A MIND OF IT'S OWN. THE ENGINE WOULD START AND STOP INDEPENDENTLY FROM ME TOUCHING THE GAS PEDAL. APPARENTLY, THIS 2011 DON'T NOT HAVE AN ACCELERATOR CABLE ANYMORE AND IT IS COMPUTERIZED. I AM THANKFUL I WAS NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE CAR IS TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE IN THE NEUTRAL. VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM. THEY RESET THE SENOR AND CHARGED ME 126.50. THEY SHOULD HAVE A WARRANTY ON THIS FOR THE LIVE OF THE CAR. THE RESET THE TP SENSOR. *TR | |
