Honda Cr-v Seats Safety Report | Nov 28, 2012

Reported on Nov 28, 2012

THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT HEATER OVER HEATED AND CAUGHT A TOTE BAG THAT WAS SITTING ON THE SEAT ON FIRE. ACCORDING TO THE USERS MANUAL THE BACK OF THE SEAT DOES NOT HAVE A HEATING ELEMENT DUE TO THE SIDE AIR BAG--MY CAR'S SEAT BACK DOES HEAT UP. IN FACT IT GETS VERY HOT. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT A DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BACK WAS INSTALLED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE--AND AS A RESULT I BELIEVE THAT MY AIRBAGS WOULD NOT HAVE FUNCTIONED PROPERLY IF NEEDED. HUGHES HONDA IN WARNER ROBINS GA CURRENTLY HAS POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE AND ARE INVESTIGATING. *TR
