Honda Civic Engine Safety Report | Feb 14, 2012

Reported on Feb 14, 2012

WHILE TURNING LEFT AT A STOP LIGHT (FROM A STATIONARY POSITION), THE CAR STALLS AFTER 2 OR 3 SECONDS IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS THEY CAN FIND NO HISTORY OF SUCH SITUATIONS IN THEIR DATABASE AND TOOK NO ACTION. THE PROBLEM OCCURS VERY FREQUENTLY, PARTICULARLY AFTER IDLING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD AT LONG STOP LIGHTS. *TR
