WHEN DRIVING DURING SNOW STORM ON A WET/SLIPPERY ROAD, THERMAL LINEAR ACTUATOR WHICH ACTIVATES THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM FAILED, DROPPING VEHICLE INTO TWO WHEEL DRIVE BEFORE DRIVERS FOOT WAS REMOVED FROM ACCELERATOR. My GMC K1500 sometimes starts running rough. It may correct it's self or may continue running rough untill you turn it off for a while then start it up again. Sometimes it may go a month with no problem then the problem may come right back.
