Ford Fusion Power Train Safety Report | June 12, 2013
Reported on June 12, 2013
I WAS GOING HOME ON HIGHWAY (65 MPH) AND THE TRAFFIC STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND SO I PUT ON MY BRAKE AND LOST MY POWER. IT WAS IN LIMP MODE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS IN LOW SPEED LANE AND COULD GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF HIGHWAY AND MANAGED TO PULL OFF. AFTER 5 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO RESTART CAR AND GET HOME. THE THROTTLE BODY HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. I FEEL I WAS VERY LUCKY I DID NOT GET SLAMMED INTO AND SOMEONE DID NOT GET HURT. | |
