TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING. THE CONTACT HAD DIFFICULTY PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN PARK AS IT BEGAN TO LUNGE AND JERK FORWARD. THE FAILURE RECURRED MORE THAN TWENTY TIMES OVER THE FOLLOWING WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000. | |
