Ford Escape Power Train Safety Report | Mar 01, 2013
Reported on Mar 01, 2013
REPEATED INCIDENTS OF TWO SYMPTOMS: 1) POWER SURGES WHEN I'M HITTING THE GAS TO PULL OUT OR PASS SOMEONE AND CAR FEELS MOMENTARILY LIKE IT WILL JUMP FORWARD. 2) POWER FEELS LIKE IT WILL STALL AND THE CAR SORT OF JUST POWERS DOWN. UNTIL TODAY THAT WOULD JUST PASS AND THE CAR WOULD OPERATE NORMALLY. TODAY (AUG. 11) I HAD TO PULL OVER AS IT WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 20 MPH SUDDENLY. IT RESUMED NORMALLY AFTER I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED IN A FEW MINUTES. *TR | |
