On a 1998 Sebring JX I start to feel a knocking under the drivers seat and in the steering wheel after being on the highway for an hour. I've replaced every suspension component in the front end including the engine mounts and rotated and ballance Power steering fluid leaking. Dealer says the steering rack needs replaced est. $1000.00. In talking to other Chrysler owners, this seems to be a common problem. Surely this should be a safety recall. Chrysler will have bigger problems than a stee Chrysler 300 - 2005 symptom - steering all of a sudden goes very tight - is intermittan. could this be a tie rod? air bag light on and of, sporatic turn signals, windows, and all controls. auto steering lift raises and lowers while ignition is off. Does anyone know what could be causeing this? intermittant steering wheel shimmying at about 35mph, followed by burning smell
