I have a 2002 Volvo XC70. When I drive it, the electrical system shuts down. I have no gauges at all and no lights on my dashboard, no signal lights, or washer fluid ability. This has happened several times, but self-corrects when I shut the ca my 89 /240 volvo the heat was on and i smelled a fire and smoke was coming out of my vents so i turned the heat off. then it had an electrical smell. I have Volvo S80 2010 and the fan revs after the car has been shut off. Usually after mountain driving. If I restart the engine it usually stops immediately. Leads me to believe that it's an electrical glitch not a high engine temperature problem. Sorry about the Volvo issues Brandon,, Check out my last message (Mark Cia) Lots of electrical problems with these vehicles. I had to replace a PEM unit Module 700. $ This module is located near the gas Tank where it is subjected to the outer i have a 2001 v 70 stationwagon that seems to be having dash electrical problems please help
