Our 2001 S80 2.9 has twice lost all battery power to the car, just after turning off the ignition key. The time between occurrence is within 2 weeks.  It has dumped the time on the clock, no power to anything, as if the battery had been removed.  The trunk could not be opened, and then after 5 to 10 minutes of sitting, the power to the car was restored. The only thing was that the clock had lost it's settings.  Also the alarm did not set when keys were removed.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I have Volvo S80 2010 and the fan revs after the car has been shut off. Usually after mountain driving. If I restart the engine it usually stops immediately. Leads me to believe that it's an electrical glitch not a high engine temperature problem.
