2006 New beetle convertible.. was dead after sitting a week....

2006 New beetle convertible.. was dead after sitting a week. Dealer checked and put in new battery. Now one month later, dead after one day.  I jumped car brought to dealer, they said car wont repsond to computer testing. They have to manually check all the wire. Speedometer, digital mileage display, and transmission jumps. They said its all electrical, could be a short and their systems are not communicating with car.  Car only has 28,000 miles.  Have no warranty now, car had previous electrical problems that were fixed.
