I have a 2004 Triumph Bonneville. I bought it with a 903cc aftermarket package. Recently it blew the head gasket on the right cylinder. When I removed the cam cover and started to remove the head I noticed 3 of the cylinder head nuts were hardly tightened. I figured that was the reason for the blown gasket. I replaced the head and base gaskets and retorqued the head per the manual, including running the engine thru 2 heat cycles, using red lock-tite on the head nuts.
The other day I noticed the head gasket seemed to be leaking again. I removed the cam cover and found that 4 of the head bolts that I could check without removing the cams were barely tightened.
I talked to the service guy at the local Triumph dealership and he hadn't heard of this problem on other Triumphs.
 Any ideas?
