when pulling out from a stop in my 98 saturn sw2, ...
when pulling out from a stop in my 98 saturn sw2, a mechanical clicking niose can be heard for about a second, and the traction light goes off and the ABS dummy light goes on. then there is the mysterious clicking noise if i ease on the brakes. I have taken it in and was told that it is either the cv shaft or the bearings on the front right tire...but that there is no "play or binding" detected so they are both safe! this is a loud annoying noise and it sounds like the tire is about to fall off! I had a plymouth minivan that this happened to and one day the cv shaft just ripped out my transmission and off came the tire! luckily i was in a parking lot!!! Is this car safe? i have two kids!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!
