2002 Intrigue has same symptoms I have read all over the internet;...
2002 Intrigue has same symptoms I have read all over the internet; growl at stops while in drive, stops when shift to neutral, growls on acelloration, slight vibration felt in steering wheel that accompanies the growl.
I have read everything from motor mounts to wheel bearings being the cause. This should be a well known common problem by now.
Of course I have had all the other common problems desgined into these GM products, bad cam sensor, P0104 error code for bad secondary air pump after 3rd or 4th replacment with original GM parts, etc, etc. , bad dash light connections causing intermittant sections of speedometer/control panel lights dimmer in areas, brighter in others..... I could go on and on.
I think the secondary air pump having died and not replacing it has solved the apparent heavy current loading on the electrical system that was so extreme it would actually dim headlights slight when it cycled.
How about a bad electical connection at the connector under the dashj by the glove box for heat/cool air blower motor that would not operazte on all speeds, wireing harness corroded by battery vapor or acid getting into harness bundle located by the battery, bad idle relay, more ect, etc...
This has been a piece of crap car and good example of why GM went belly up before Uncle Sam saved their butts.
