I bought a 2006 Maxima in 2009 with 54000 miles on it; it now has 115000 miles on it, and for almost six months now the transmission is jerking quite horribly. When you move it from park, reverse, neutral, and drive it severely jerks. It has just began doing it while driving now. We were going down a city street, very slowly over speed bumps, and when we pushed the gas pedal to speed up a little, JERK. A huge jerk. Now, today, my husband was driving the car about an hour away, and out of nowhere, the gages begin going crazy and will not work properly. You cannot see how much gas is in the car, or how fast you are going, or the temperature outside, or the temperature of the car. You cannot even turn on the A/C or heater. It is acting extremely crazy. Now, he is stranded in a parking lot. It is our only vehicle and we have three children. I brought the car to a Nissan dealership about a month ago and had the transmission serviced and checked, and they could not find anything wrong with it..... just said that we would probably need to replace the transmission..... how can so many people have the same problems and there is not a recall on it????
