I smell exhaust in the cabin of my MPV 2000. ...

I smell exhaust in the cabin of my MPV 2000. The engine light was on solid. I took it to the dealership. Their mechanic said that after performing a pin point test he found doce po442. He couldn't find any leaks, however, and the engine light is now off. He "cleared the codes". They can't get the light to come on again. We still smell exhaust in the cabin so there still must be a problem. I don't feel safe driving it but we can't get it fixed if they don't know what the problem is. What do we do?
