I have a 2000 Isuzu Amigo 2 wheel drive hard top automatic....

I have a 2000 Isuzu Amigo 2 wheel drive hard top automatic. As I am going down the road, I can hit a pot hole, a bump in the road, a pebble, a dip in the road, even a gust of wind, and the engine will shut off and start back up on it's own in a split second. The check transmission and cruise lights come on and then go off. This is a repeating issue for the last year. I can't find the problem. I also recently had the transmission serviced, but it was doing this before that and is still doing it. I need some help. Please respond to mr.t.denny@gmail.com. PS I am also a handicap individual that depends on the vehicle to get around on a daily basis. When I first got the truck the fuel gauge did not work, and I had Firestone replace the pump. Is it possible that this is the source of the problem? It doesn't matter how much fuel is in the tank.
