Honda Pilot Touring 2011
Parked inside a three car garage. No irregular temps or variations in temperature. Hadn't driven for a day, rear hatch window exploded. Force was great enough to find shattered glass in middle stall of garage. Vehicle is a lease and have had for only 4 months. Paint on tailgate scratched, interior panel, bumper insert, and bumper scrape damage. Dealer is wonderful, but the seed of fear has been planted.
Cause for concern regarding two young children in household. I always back into garage, therefore hatch was facing door connecting to house. Very dangerous. Needless to say I no longer back my vehicle into my garage.
Is this a common problem? Even if it isn't, it is a problem - or should I say a constant worry for me and my family now.
