This is a question.  1990 GMC Sierra, 5.7 engine cruising hwy for about 38 miles.  Suddenly shut down.  Restarted, and immediately shut back down. Approximately 2.5 hours later restarted,  and driven 2 - 3 miles and parked for two days then restarted a driven for about 18 miles when system shut down again only this time would not restart as engine not getting spark.  What could be the problem ?  Have replaced knock sensor per autozone recommendation, ignition coil replaced per my common sense, am thinking the cap is good, rotor good, but maybe the ICM could use replacing. Any thoughts on this matter, as to whether replaced parts may be faulty, or something not tried yet should be looked at.  Unable to get vehicle into town to any shop for dianosis. This is a must do myself, and I can use all help I can get.  Thanks.
