My mother drives a 2006 Ford Focus which she has only had for a year and is still paying for. last winter, her nephew used an ice scraper to chip off some ice from her car and he broke one of the panels just below the windshield (I'm not sure what those 2 panels are named. but they are black and have bubble-like indentations on them. maybe connected to the defroster or heater?). so now there is a big gaping hole about the size of a hamburger bun in one of those panels (he is not a bright person and he thought the panel was black ice). he has no morals and does not feel guilty about breaking it. he will not pay to have it repaired or replaced. nor has he offered to. my mother isn't able to afford to, so now I have to pay out of my own pocket to pay. if anyone knows exactly what those panels are called and what site I could find some info on about them, it would be appreciated.
