Chrysler Sebring Coupe Questions

I have a 2001 Sebring LXI that will start up but once ...

I have a 2001 Sebring LXI that will start up but once I get to a red light, stop sign, or even start to slow down to a slow pace, it stalls out. The radio, power locks, power windows also stopped working when this happened. I was told it was the alternator but have not had it looked at yet. Is this the problem? If it were my alternator, wouldn't my car not be able to turn on?

I have a 1998 Sebring LXI making a low pitch groan in front  left side after car has been driven for awhile    when turning a corner     any ideas?
