I
had called and emailed the dealer, they answered me that they will charge for the car inspection to be done int he car. Last week on all of you on February 8, as my husband got
trapped inside the car,he opened the car then after closed the car nothing else worked he got trapped , and have to wait half an hour until anyone of us notice he was not there, ( it was 5L30 am) and nothing else was working,I got a new battery
$260.00
later.
Now
Thursday my speed ( gas) pedal was stuck when I accelerate it did not
get off, I was almost about to crash without me doing anything. My
brakes smell burning for the effort
done to stop the car.

I
reported this type of problem two weeks after I bought the car in
2007, as I was on a stop sign and the car accelerated itself. When my
car was checked ,no one at the dealer
could find anything wrong,( of course) , I was parked at the light and the car accelerated on his own. but I did have to pay the lady I hit
(without me doing anything in the car) , for the bumper damaged.( $
1,000).
Right
now, it is very often that I do not have any control on the gas pedal , it is accelerating on its own. I do not control when the car
decided to do that, I am concerned and worried, what can you do ? All
the time when am reporting
this the answer of the dealer is that they could not find anything wrong. I searched
in the internet and find out that it happened to other people as well,
My
car is accelerating out of control and I do not know what is this ? or
what is happening. I thought it was my idea but I was almost involved in
three accidents until now
because of this, could you check out this and I know this is not
mechanical, but electronic so it MUST be cover in the guarantee!
Yesterday,we
were driving on the QEW,when the car suddenly accelerated,without any
gas pedal pressure, and almost collided with a car in front of us.
Fortunately,repeated application
of the brakes disabled the stablitrac system,and we were able to slow
down. Alex,my husband was driving,and told me what was happening as it
was occurring.He had his foot off the gas pedal when this occurred.It
was almost like cruise control acceleration,but
the car does not have that option.Since it happened to me the day
before,and I think I scorched my brakes trying to stop it,I am fearful
every time I drive it.My husband suspects that when the new battery was
installed,the stabilitrac system was reset to default,and
is why this problem has re-occurred.

I
would appreciated a promt response to this issued as an accident is to
happen because the failure of the gas pedal pressure int eh Equinoox
2007/!
