2010 Camaro purchased Feb. 2010 . Two months after purchasing my camaro my power steering went out. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the power steering pump. As the weather got warmer, I noticed a noise from the right passenger side front tire, kind of "clunking" when I turned or ran over bumps. My RPM jumped around and reved so high when I started the car and why they never went below 1 RPM. I was told that was normal for the dual over head cam shaft. Later that summer, my car started losing power, I had a lot of miles on the car so I assumed it was normal decline due to age. The clunking noise continued and in Sept.of that year a deer rammed my driver side door. My car was at the dealer recommended body shop for 8 weeks. It was returned and my fog lights no longer worked and the info. usually found in he drivers door with VIN# etc. was not replaced. After being out for 8 weeks and paying for a rental, I didn't take it back to be fixed. Sept. 2011 my check engine light came on. On Star says its an emmissions problem. Codes were problems with cam shafts....Took car to the deaer twice. First time they said it would be a few days before they could look at it, second time I left it for a day and I was told the problem was a malfunctioning sensor. I asked about the noise under the rt. tire was told it was normal, asked about why my RPM would rev up so high upon starting, that's normal, and why the RPM gauge fluxuated between 1-3 during idle and never went below 1 RPM, was told that was normal, went to another dealership a month later and was told the same thing but they didn't now much about these cars because "we haven't sold too many of them". Finally earlier this year, my car just wouldn't go. Took it to a mechanic that has a degree in engineering. Found out I had to have all timing chains, tensioners and gears replace because the piece that regulates the oil pressure to these parts malfunctioned. This would explain why everytime I got my oil changed the levels were low and it was before the "change oil" light came on. Think it's called the acuator cylinoid. Anyway my airbag light has been on for a year because its malfunctioning and today my stablitrak slowed down my car in 60 degree Texas weather. When does this stop! I have a case number for issues the timing chains, with GMC. There are some serious engineering flaws with this car. AC Delco parts are only the beginning, There are design flaws or there wouldn't be so many of the same issues! I'm so naive. I used to believe people in our country made the best products and that they stood behind what they made. They believed in what they made. I understand now why there are so many Toyotas and Nissans and everything else on the road.....At least they admit their failings and recall their problems, they don't leave it up to the consumer to pay for their mistakes! I haven't gotten anywhere wih my case with GM and I am at the second stage of escalation.
