Chevrolet Avalanche Questions

My transmission is stuck in 3rd gear. I have to shift to low to take off and it will not shift into overdrive.

i have a 2003 avalance in morning or when i shut off i smell gas fumes there is no leaks in lines or tank also looked under the hood and nothing? my friend said about a relay or sumthing under the hood any help will b great!

Radio has a short, drains battery when vehicle is off, radio works then stops and freezes up. have to diconnect battery then it will work (sometimes) then go back off again

I have a 2007 Chevy Avelanche. Drivers side seatbelt reciever will not accept seatbelt insert. Dealer says will cost 200.00$ to replace. Noticed another post to same. Is this a common problem?

Did you just put a new battery in or pull battery? If so, then your throttlebody needs cleaning!
when you pull power from computer it resets, then comes back on thinking it's a new vehicle.
It's obviously not and the throttlebody is dirty

Had the same issue w/my Avalanche.  After several attempt fixes, finally came down to the positioner switch in the transfer case.  It was sending the wrong position information to the module, and the transfer case would shift accordingly. �

9 times out of 10 a roaring sound in the rear end is a rear axle (differential) issue. Check to make sure that the axle is filled to the bottom of the fill plug with 75W90 synthetic gear lubricant. If you do this the roaring should stop. If it do
