My 2004 Cadillac Deville Dts rear passenger window regulator became inoperative over 340 miles from home on a weekend. I was very lucky to find a Chevy dealership that provided good assistance in raising the window and securing it with painter's tape for my return home. I have began replacing window regulators now since September 2010 which began with my driver's door, then the driver's passenger side and now the back passenger side. I have read many comments on this and too my surprise I am waiting for GMC to look into this matter as well. My last replacement cost for this was $469.00. After just 4 months, now the cost is $500.00. I also get the same type of response from service representatives that the car is seven years old, what do you expect? My car has 71,000 miles on it and this is not first Cadillac. With so many complaints about this matter, I cannot believe a recall on the hardward for this device has not happen. I do wish to continue to drive American cars, but with such lack of acknowledgment for the cusomer in this matter, my perception for Cadillac cars is not valued to highly anymore. This is truly unacceptable!
