1998 BMW Z3  Both power seats have defective tracks allowing seats to shift backwards forward upon acceleration braking...I feel this is a serious saftey issue that BMW  needs to address..This vehicle has only 80,000 miles to date with the problem starting shortly after 60,000 miles...Also if I go to sell this car it will not pass a state inspection unless I replace the seat tracks @ my cost of $1286.00 each plus labor per side...BMW needs to reduce the price of these units or replace them free of charge...I also own a 1998 328i convertible with more then 200,000 miles the powerseats are without any problems...I think these seat tracks speak for themselves as to be defective..".BMW Fix the problem before a death occurs"
