july 11, 2011 my 2004 toyota sienna had a problem with the quick disconnect fuel line. We driving down the intersate when suddenly the engine died. We were able to get off to the side . I could smell fuel and thought that the fuel line ruptur I own a 2007 Toyota Tundra. I was told that because of a small crack in a plastic fuel line coming out of the gas tank I had to buy a new gas tank. I said that that was poor engineering and the Toyota rep. said "I can't disagree with that. I w I have a toyota tercel 1989, removed the carburetor to change the gasket, install the carburetor and now the car will not start, I guess that is not injecting fuel, check and is reaching the fuel to the carburetor, any help is welcome on a 2002 toyota highlander v6 when fuel tank gets about half full i can smell a fuel odor,seems to use more gas also,changed gas cap and no leaks under car.can't see anything wet I got in my 01 avalon today and the guages were all going crazy bouncing back and forth (fuel gauge, tach meter, gas guage and the speedometer wouldn't work...any one know what could cause this?
