Toyota Camry Solara 2007 Exterior Lighting Review #10479657 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007 car safety problem was reported on July 01, 2011.TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . i was notified my right front headlight was out early in july, 2011. i took it to be repaired and was informed that a "module" needed to be replaced because these were 'high intensity" lights. on july 12,2011 the module was ordered by my mechanic and installed on july 13, 2012. in feb, 2012 my left front headlight went out. my mechanic ordered a new module on feb 15, 2012 and was installed on march 1, 2012. in june, 2012 i was stopped by police for having only one headlight. at that time my left headlight was out again (only 3 months later). within the next few days i noticed that intermittently my headlights would turn off while driving, sometimes the right, sometimes the left, and sometime both at the same time. if i switched from auto to on, both headlights would turn back on for about 5 mins then either one or both would shut off. if i switched from on to auto, the same would happen for a couple minutes.i returned to my mechanic, but upon driving and keeping the lights on he could not get the same thing to happen.that was on july 20, 2012. since that time, i have had to refrain from using my car after dark, because for no apparent reason, the lights will shut off. there are times i have all lights and then another driver will inform me that i have no headlights at all. i am aware that the toyota prius had an issue with this happening and am concerned that this is a problem with this car as well.these lights and modules are expensive to replace and having to replace them every 6 months or on a car that is less than 5 years old seems ridiculous while after replacing, the problem continues.the lack of headlights and not knowing when they go out is extremely dangerous and puts me and my family at risk for injury as well as others. i would like to know if this is a general problem with toyota cars with these type of lights or an isolated case. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 39495 miles. Toyota Camry Solara 2007 Air BagsToyota Camry Solara 2007 Air Bags Review #10592594 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007 car safety problem was reported on May 15, 2014.TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007, manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation had a problem with AIR BAGS . copy of an email sent to toyota: i am writing to complain about an issue that just arose with my toyota solara convertible. it is a 2007 vehicle that i love. i have taken care of it and drive it judiciously. i only have 31,500 (approximately) miles on this vehicle and have always taken it to the dealership at which i purchased it for maintenance, any recall repairs needed, etc. in addition to the above, this vehicle has never been in an accident of any kind, no matter how minor. the airbags have never been deployed for any reason. now, for my complaint: about a week and a half ago, the airbag indicator light came on the dashboard. i called my dealership and immediately made an appointment to have this examined. last thursday, the 17th of may, the service man at the dealership informed me the airbag on the passenger side is not working, cannot be fixed and the system needs replaced. i ordered said system since i do not want to be without the airbag protection. however? i am very upset about having to spend $700 to replace this needed system when nothing occurred to cause this system to fail. i know i need it and feel that i have tried to take care of the car and have not abused it. i realize regular maintenance is necessary and some things occasionally need to be replaced, such as, tires, brakes, etc. but an airbag system? really? my other car is a 2009 toyota rav 4 and i have also tried to care for this vehicle. i have never had an issue with the airbag in the rav 4 or any other car i have had in the past (since airbags were first installed in cars). this really, really upsets me!!! i and my husband are retirees and on a fixed income and really feel the expense for this item is horrible and wonder why something like this isn?t covered by toyota. *js .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 31571 miles. Toyota Camry Solara 2007 Visibility/wiperToyota Camry Solara 2007 Visibility/wiper Review #10661969 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007 car safety problem was reported on Jan 01, 2012.TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007, manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation had a problem with VISIBILITY/WIPER . the dash of my 2007 toyota camry solara began to melt and crack in 2012, creating an extremely sticky surface as well as a severe glare on the windshield. this has continued to worsen over the last two years. the stickiness and glare worsen with high temperatures which is a critical issue when living in florida. even when i travel to northern states in the winter, the stickiness and severe glare does not completely go away in freezing temperatures. i can gently touch my dash and leave a finger imprint at any time of the year and in any temperature. the glare greatly reduces the driver's visibility at any time of the year however, during the hottest months of the year the glare is so severe that it is nearly impossible to see what is ahead. i have nearly been in accidents and have come close to hitting pedestrians in parking lots because of the severe glare. i have resorted to "bobbing and weaving" to find an area of the windshield i can see through (typically a one-inch area where the air vent is reflecting very low on the windshield) or even rolling down the side window to stick my head out during situations such as these. i can only imagine that this will continue to worsen with time. this is a major safety concern and needs to be rectified immediately! this issue needs to be addressed by the manufacturer before an accident occurs! .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 35000 miles. Toyota Camry Solara 2007 Unknown Or OtherToyota Camry Solara 2007 Unknown Or Other Review #10661969 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007 car safety problem was reported on Jan 01, 2012.TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2007, manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation had a problem with UNKNOWN OR OTHER . the dash of my 2007 toyota camry solara began to melt and crack in 2012, creating an extremely sticky surface as well as a severe glare on the windshield. this has continued to worsen over the last two years. the stickiness and glare worsen with high temperatures which is a critical issue when living in florida. even when i travel to northern states in the winter, the stickiness and severe glare does not completely go away in freezing temperatures. i can gently touch my dash and leave a finger imprint at any time of the year and in any temperature. the glare greatly reduces the driver's visibility at any time of the year however, during the hottest months of the year the glare is so severe that it is nearly impossible to see what is ahead. i have nearly been in accidents and have come close to hitting pedestrians in parking lots because of the severe glare. i have resorted to "bobbing and weaving" to find an area of the windshield i can see through (typically a one-inch area where the air vent is reflecting very low on the windshield) or even rolling down the side window to stick my head out during situations such as these. i can only imagine that this will continue to worsen with time. this is a major safety concern and needs to be rectified immediately! this issue needs to be addressed by the manufacturer before an accident occurs! .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 35000 miles.
