SUBARU IMPREZA 2007 car safety problem was reported on July 25, 2008.SUBARU IMPREZA 2007, manufactured by SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. had a problem with TIRES . the following was sent to bridgestone via email this is to inform bridgestone tire of a catastrophic sidewall blowout that occurred on a bridgestone potenza tire on july 25, 2008. the blowout occurred at the start of a cross country trip on interstate 40 heading towards memphis, tn. the car is a 2007 subaru impreza purchased new in september 2007 and had approximately 6500 miles on it at the start of the trip. the markings on the tire are as follows: bridgestone potenza p 205/55r16 89v k0350 e92adz dot em8k jll1207 the sidewall blowout occurred to the left rear tire. prior to the start of the trip the car had a tune-up at an authorized subaru service dealer. when the blowout occurred the car was pulled off to the side of the road and the tire was changed using the provided spare tire that comes with the car. the car was then driven to the nearest tire service company which was wal mart tire and lube in savannah, tn. store # 0268 175 j.i. bell lane, savannah, tn 38372. (731) 925 ¿ 3020. the car's official mileage as recorded on the odometer and noted on the service invoice was 6824 miles. damage to the tire was two tears - one approximately two inches long and another one approximately 6 inches long on the sidewall half way up between the inner rim and the edge of the tire. the damaged tire is at my home address and is available for inspection. the tire was replaced at a cost of $98.25. invoice # 77525. at this time i expect bridgestone to reimburse me for the cost of the tire in the amount of $98.25. provide a new tire of equal value to match the remaining 3 tires and inspect the remaining three tires for any potential possibilities of having a sidewall blowout. if there is a possibility of a sidewall blowout occurring in any of the three remaining tires i would want them replaced. a copy of this letter has been sent to the dot. david haber *tr .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 6824 miles. SUBARU IMPREZA 2007 car safety problem was reported on Nov 30, 2008.SUBARU IMPREZA 2007, manufactured by SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. had a problem with TIRES . we were driving on highway 14 at about 9 pm when we heard (and felt) a loud bang and then felt the noticeable bumpiness of a flat tire. we pulled over to the side to find the front passenger side tire flat, which we proceeded to change with the spare that was supplied with the car. the car is a 2007 subaru impreza and is actually a loaner from the dealer since my car is in the shop, being repaired for the same problem for the 8th time in 2 years (separate complaint). upon inspecting the tire the next day, it's evident that it is a blowout as it has a 4 inch slit in the sidewall and there was nothing in the road that we drove over. i have not had the tire replaced yet but the dealer is asserting that i am responsible for the tire, even though it's not my car. they did, however, offer to sell me the tire at their cost with free installation. i plan on keeping the tire when i do get it replaced, since i'm paying for it. i will be contacting bridgestone headquarters and subaru headquarters in new jersey about this incident. tire is a bridgestone potenza re 92a, size p205/55r16 89v dot em8k jll2407. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 11000 miles. (wvx34) and was told that the vehicle needed more extensive repairs as parts were corroded and could not be changed without being damaged. i was told subaru had refused to agree the repairs until their dpsm had seen the vehicle, he would be at the dealer in the next 4 weeks. i contacted the dealer on the 5th december to be told the rep would be in until the 18th december (i am out of the country then). i contacted subaru as i was disappointed with the service and the contacted the dealer and called me back on the 6th. i was told that the vehicle was dangerous and that the repairs were $5,000 worth and that i would have to pay as they had corrosion and that this wasn't part of the recall and the dpsm date was still the 18th. i would assume that if the a frames wee damaged due to corrosion and that the same corrosion had damaged other parts of the suspension then this would not be my liability. i am driving a dangerous vehicle (says the dealer to subaru but not me) and subaru not only don't care enough to inspect the vehicle as a matter of urgency but do not want to repair the vehicle. so the complaint is that the recall (wvx34) is just for a frames and the actual corrosion damage is much more extensive. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 74943 miles. (soa mentioned to me that not a lot of people complained about it and they may reimburse me for my repair if i was at a subaru dealer, but since it was at my independent mechanic they have to review it and the parts are suppose to be original) i needed to replace that. now it smells in the car sometimes (for instance after having heat on, and worse when it rains or snows). it also bucks uncontrollably when coming to a stop. i was told to have a subaru dealer check it out even though it's no more on the warranty. also, when i bought my car the window defrosters on the back window were damaged. they stated to me that it was my fault that it was damaged and i should repair it out of my own pocket. i don't recommend a subaru to any person, and honestly i don't like their customer service. they only want to receive money and not help people when they have problems. like other people mentioned. SUBARU IMPREZA 2007 car safety problem was reported on Aug 24, 2013.SUBARU IMPREZA 2007, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with ENGINE . purchased car august 20th. august 24th, 2013 on the way back from pa on 80 east my check engine light came on. problem was diagnosed as cam position timing over advance or system performance b1 and b2. code was p0011 and p0021. wednesday september 11th, 2013 the car was taken to subaru world of newton to be fixed. needed new cam sprockets and timing belt, along with the timing belt the timing belt tensioner was changed and a small oil leak was plugged with an oil change. that all came out to around 1,500 and that was after negotiating. monday september 16th, 2013 my check engine light came on and with it had rough idling. thursday september 19th, 2013 i had the code read and the code p0301 came up which was a cylinder 1 misfire. the code was reset to see if it would reoccur and tuesday september 24th, 2013 the check engine came back on with the same code. i then planned on going to subaru world of newton on saturday the 28th. on friday the 27th i was driving to the mall in rockaway, nj 20 minutes from my house and i started to feel power loss. on the way home from the mall the power loss continued and about 30 seconds from the sparta exit my engine made a knocking noise like something sprung loose and my engine cut off and the car shut off, with no power steering i had to get across the lanes to pull over and wait for a tow truck. today september 30th the car is sitting at subaru because the diagnostic fee 1-2,000$ and approximate cost for parts and labor is 5-7,000$, total is 6-9,000$. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 129000 miles. SUBARU IMPREZA 2007 car safety problem was reported on May 11, 2012.SUBARU IMPREZA 2007, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with UNKNOWN OR OTHER . since the head gasket blew. my car keeps breaking down. i have a toddler. by the oil sensor gauge it keeps breaking and my car starts smoking. my mechanic told me if i kept driving the car would have caught on fire due to the hot oil underneath the hood. i found out i need to repair the head gasket again the second time. since it was changed the first time my check engine and cruise control keep turning on when i have low rpms, and am in stop and go traffic and high rpms. there are so many people that have this problem and subaru told me they will pay for damages that they own up to. for my head gasket i only received over $200 which it cost me almost $1500. they don't acknowledge all the other material that went into fixing the head gasket like oil and etc. this is the second time in 2 years i will be fixing the head gasket. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 67000 miles.
