A recall was issued on Aug 10, 1987 for K30 CHEVROLET, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP., in response to SUSPENSION:FRONT:SHOCK ABSORBER problems. INCORRECT FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER UPPER AND LOWER NUTS COULD LOOSEN.SHOCK ABSORBER COULD DETACH AND COME IN CONTACT WITHFRONT BRAKE HOSE; THIS CONTACT COULD RESULT IN A LEAK IN THE HOSE AND LOSS OFFRONT BRAKES.. Follwoing is the summary of corrective actions taken: REPLACE FREE SPINNING NUTS WITH TORQUE NUTS.
