A recall was issued on Sept 12, 1967 for F700 FORD, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY, in response to SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM problems. . Follwoing is the summary of corrective actions taken:
POSSIBILITY THAT BOOSTERS DO NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS.THIS INVOLVES A POSSIBLE LOOSE ASSEMBLY OF THE BOOSTER CONTROL VALVE HUB TO THE DIAPHRAGM, WHICH CAN CAUSE COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER ASSIST.LOSS OF POWER ASSIST CAUSES A SUBSTANTIAL LOSS OF BRAKING EFFICIENCY.(INSPECT AND REPLACE BOOSTER AS REQUIRED.)
