A recall was issued on Sept 25, 1970 for F100 FORD, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY, in response to TIRES:TREAD/BELT problems. . Follwoing is the summary of corrective actions taken:
POSSIBILITY THAT GOODYEAR TIRES SIZE G-78-15-B GLASS BELTED WERE IN-ADVERTENTLY MANUFACTURED WITH INADEQUATE THICKNESS OF INNER TREAD COVERINGFIBERGLASS BELT.THIS COULD RESULT IN TREAD SEPARATION AND CAUSE SEVEREVEHICLE VIBRATION.(CORRECT BY REPLACING WITH NEW TIRE.)
