Pontiac Power Train Manual Transmission Floor Shift Assembly

i have a pontiac 6000 LE i lose power going up hills i put the gas padle to the floor but my car only gose about 5 to 10 miles pre hour up a hill what could cause it to do that and will it cost alot to fix it
