VEHICLE WAS RENTED FROM A NATIONAL CAR RENTAL AGENCY. ENGINE STALLED WHILE ACCELERATING JUST AFTER DECELERATING AT RED LIGHT CHANGING TO GREEN. BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. RESULTED IN ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE FAILURE. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO A STOP USING EMERGENCY FOOT BRAKE. NO ACCIDENT OR INJURY. CAR RESTARTED AND FUNCTIONED NORMALLY SEVERAL MINUTES LATER. *AK | |
