PURCHASED VEHICLE NEW, WITH 13 MILES, ON APRIL 30, 2005. VEHICLE'S ECM FAILED AFTER 1025 MILES, AT END OF AUGUST, 2005. ECM REPLACED BY DEALER. FAILURE OF ECM PLACED UNDUE STRESS ON MOTOR. I BELIEVE THAT THIS LEAD TO THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE FAILURE REPORTED IN NHTSA CLAIM NUMBER 010188397. OLD ECM WAS RETURNED TO GM BY JIM ARMSTRONG PONTIAC. MOTOR FROM CLAIM NUMBER IS AVAILABLE UNTIL SERVICING DEALER COMPLETES WARRANTY WORK, AND RETURNS MOTOR TO GM. *JB
