Reported on Dec 04, 2001
TORSION BAR RUSTED UNDER BRACKET, NEARLY SNAPPED IN TWO. WHEEL WAS HELD TO FRAME ONLY BY STRUT. TWO MECHANICS TOLD ME THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN THEIR CAREER AS A MECHANIC BOTH WITH OVER 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE. GM SAYS ITS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. MY MECHANICS BELIEVE IT WAS INFERIOR PART THAT IS EXPECTED TO HOLD THE WHEEL TO THE FRAME. *AK | |
