THE FUEL PUMP RESISTOR WENT OUT ON MY 1998 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GTP. AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON OCCURRENCE ON 1997-98 GRAND PRIXS AND BUICK REGALS WITH THE L67 SUPERCHARGED MOTOR. THE RESISTOR GOES OUT WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO KILL SECONDS AFTER STARTING. THIS PART WAS RECALLED IN AREAS OF CANADA PER GM CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN #01033. *TR
