Pontiac Grand Prix Exterior Lighting Headlights Safety Report | July 14, 2001
Reported on July 14, 2001
DAY AFTER PURCHASE, POINTED OUT TO DEALER EXCESSIVE CONDENSATION IN HEADLAMPS. TOLD THIS WAS NORMAL. 1-1/2 MONTHS AGO DRIVER'S SIDE LENS FELL OFF AND BULB EXPLODED DUE TO RAIN ENTERING LAMP FIXTURE. PURCHASED ENTIRE NEW ASSEMBLY AND REPLACED MYSELF. THIS PAST WEEDEND, THE PASSENGER SIDE LENS HAS FALLEN OFF. RESEARCH INDICATES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. SO COMMON THE DEALERSHIP IS ON A WAITING LIST FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE ASSEMBLY. THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.*AK | |
