Pontiac Grand Prix Equipment Electrical Radio/tape Deck/cd Etc. Safety Report | Oct 08, 2003

Reported on Oct 08, 2003

SPEAKERS IN DRIVER'S SIDE ARE BLOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. BOTH DRIVER'S SIDE SPEAKERS WERE REPLACED WHILE THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THIS DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. SPEAKERS BEGIN TO MAKE NOISE AFTER A HEAVY RAIN AND EVENTUALLY GO OUT. POSSIBLY A BAD SEAL IS ALLOWING WATER TO GET IN THE SPEAKERS OR AMPLIFIER. SOMETIMES THE SPEAKERS WOULD BEGIN TO WORK AGAIN, BUT THEY HAVE NOT WORKED IN SEVERAL MONTHS. *LA
