I OWN A 2000 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GT WITH THE NATURALLY-ASPIRATED 3800-SERIES V-6 ENGINE. I EXPERIENCE THE SAME SMELL OF BURNING OIL THAT THE OWNERS OF THE SUPERCHARGED GTP ENGINES WERE WARNED TO LOOK OUT FOR. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE GTP ENGINES DUE TO MANIFOLD SEEPAGE. IT APPEARS THAT THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING WITH THE NATURALLY-ASPIRATED VERSION OF THAT SAME 3800-SERIES ENGINE AND THAT A MINOR FIX WAS IMPLEMENTED (NEW SPARK PLUG WIRE CASINGS AND MOUNTS TO MOVE THE WIRES OUT OF THE WAY OF THE HOT OIL SEEPAGE) WHEN GM HAS ALREADY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE 3800-SERIES ENGINE LEAKING OIL AND CAUSING ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRES. I BELIEVE THIS IS SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED IN TO. *TR
