Pontiac Grand Prix Engine And Engine Cooling Engine Safety Report | Aug 01, 2009

Reported on Aug 01, 2009

TWO MANIFOLD GASKET FAILURES ON 1999 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX. CAR HAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILES ON IT. FIRST GASKET REPLACED WHILE STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR OIL CHANGE AND DECREASED FUEL EFFICIENCY. I WAS NOTIFIED THAT GASKET WAS FAILING AGAIN. GASKET APPARENTLY NOT ABLE TO LAST 5 YEARS EVEN UNDER VERY LOW MILEAGE. *TR
