Reported on Mar 01, 2002
AFTER LONG OR HEAVY PERIODS OF RAIN, STANDING WATER ON FLOOR BEHIND DRIVERS SEAT. PROBLEM IS ON PASSENGER SIDE AS WELL. HAVE TAKEN BACK TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. DOOR RUBBER/SEAL HAS BEEN REPLACED AND DOOR ALIGNMENT HAS BEEN DONE. PROBLEM PERSISTS. DEALER CLAIMS IT IS NOT A KNOWN DEFECT. DEALER WILL NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY BEYOND STANDARD WARRANTY ON REPAIRS COMPLETED. ALSO STATES THAT MILDEW AND/OR RUST WILL NOT BE A PROBLEM SINCE THE CAR WAS TREATED AT THE MANUFACTURER AGAINST RUST AND MILDEW. THE SERVICE MANAGER OF THE DEALER HAS REQUESTED THAT I LEAVE MY CAR WITH THEM A FEW DAYS TO ALLOW MORE TIME FOR THEM TO REVIEW THE SITUATION. PLAN TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER. *NLM | |
