2000 GRAND AM GT1 WITH 36,127 MILES; A/C BLOWER STARTED MAKING A LOUD VIBRATING NOISE ON SPEEDS 4 & 5; BLOWER THEN WENT OUT ON SPEEDS 1,2,3, AND MAX. DIAGNOSED AT DEALER AND HAD TO REPLACE BOTH BLOWER MOTOR AND BLOWER RESISTOR AT COST OF $229. SERVICE MANAGER INDICATED THAT BLOWER MOTOR HAD A BEARING FAULT WHICH COULD START A FIRE.
