Pontiac Grand Am Exterior Lighting Turn Signal Safety Report | Mar 11, 2009

Reported on Mar 11, 2009

THE TURN SIGNAL CLICKS AS IF IT IS ON (BUT AT A FASTER-THAN-NORMAL SPEED) WHEN IT IS OFF. THE LIGHTS DO NOT FLASH. I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE SWITCH REPLACED THROUGH THE RECALL BECAUSE THE SIGNALS WOULD INTERMITTENTLY STOP WORKING. I HAD MY REPAIRMAN (NOT THE DEALERSHIP) LOOK AT IT, AND HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, SO HE CALLED HIS FRIEND AT A GM DEALERSHIP. THE FRIEND SAID THAT THIS PROBLEM IS VERY COMMON ON THESE CARS. TODAY, THE STEERING COLUMN STARTED SMOKING, SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I GOOGLED PONTIAC GRAND AM TURN SIGNAL , AND THERE WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WERE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THE GRAND AM. *TR
