TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 PONTIAC GRAND AM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEYS HAD TO BE IN THE IGNITION IN THE ON POSITION FOR TEN MINUTES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD START. AFTER TEN MINUTES THE IGNITION RESET THE PATH LOCK SYSTEM. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE IS NORMAL FOR HIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THERE ARE NO RELATED RECALLS. THE CONTACT IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000. | |
