Pontiac G6 Steering Safety Report | Feb 24, 2013

Reported on Feb 24, 2013

WHEN I START MY CAR I GET 3 ERRORS POWER STEERING. SERVICE ESC, AND ESC OFF. I AM ABLE TO TURN MY CAR ON AND OFF UNTIL THE ELECTRIC SIGNAL SENDS TO THE EPS SYSTEM SO I AM ABLE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE CAR IS TURNED BACK OFF. BECAUSE THE SENSOR DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY, IT DOESNT SEND MESSAGE TO THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING MOTOR AND CAUSES THE POWER STEERING NOT TO WORK. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE AS NHTSA ID 10499437 AND 10479698. I UNDERSTAND THERE WAS AN EXISTING RECALL WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE 2010 PONTIAC G6 AND NOT JUST THE G5. *TR
