Pontiac G6 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Safety Report | Nov 03, 2009

Reported on Nov 03, 2009

2006 PONTIAC G6 WITH 22,000 MILES ON IT. WAS TOLD THAT BOTH FRONT AND BACK ROTORS NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $660. INVESTIGATED ON LINE TO DISCOVER THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH PONTIAC VEHICLES THAT THE ROTORS WARP AND RUST WITH AS LITTLE AS 12,000 MILES. MY VEHICLE IS COVERED UNDER A BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY, HOWEVER GM CLAIMS THIS FALLS UNDER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR . IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR ROTORS TO NEED TO BE REPLACED SO SOON. *TR
