TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR REPAIR AND A RETAINER WAS INSTALLED OVER THE CABLE END. THREE MONTHS AFTER THE REPAIR, THE CONTACT PARKED AND EXITED THE VEHICLE WHEN IT ROLLED AWAY AND INTO A NEIGHBORING YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS SECURED IN PARK PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CHASE AFTER THE VEHICLE, JUMP INSIDE AND APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE . THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED BUT WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE UNDER THE RECALL A SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED.
